From 2010 to 2017, 758 Georgia citizens lost their lives to firearms in domestic violence-related incidents. That’s enough to almost fill two Boeing 747 airliners. By enacting already existing federal legislation in the State of Georgia, we believe that our state could see the 14% reduction in domestic violence-related firearm deaths that other states who have adopted this legislation have seen.
